Kishorn Port Limited Phase 1B
Pre-application Consultation Event


Notice is hereby given that Kishorn Port Limited intends to apply to Scottish Ministers for consent to construct a new quay to expand the operational capabilities of the Kishorn Port & Dry Dock, Kishorn, in Strathcarron (IV54 8XA) as part of the Kishorn Port Masterplan. The Phase 1B development will involve the construction of a new quay with associated land reclamation, and the installation of mooring dolphins either side of the quay, accessed by walkways. The development will provide new berthing space for large vessels.

Kishorn Port Limited will be holding a pre-application consultation event at the Lochcarron Village Hall, Main Street, Lochcarron, Strathcarron, IV54 8YB on Tuesday 27th October 2026, from 2pm until 8pm.
The event will provide an opportunity for stakeholders, including the public, to consider and comment upon the proposal. Consultation material shared during the event on 27th October will be made available after the event on the project’s consultation website, accessed at https://kishornport.co.uk/.

Please note, representations made to Kishorn Port Limited or Affric Limited are not representations to the Scottish Ministers. Once the Marine Licence application has been submitted to the Marine Directorate, there will be an opportunity for representations to be made directly to them.

Lochcarron Village Hall is proud to host part of the Kishorn Port 50th Anniversary Celebrations, including a history exhibition at the Hall and a Ceilidh Dance at 8pm on Saturday 8th November.

A full day of sport and entertainment for all the family. The next Lochcarron Highland Games will take place on Saturday 17th July 2027 at Attadale.

We’ll be kicking off Tartan Week in style with our annual CEILIDH with the Alba Ceilidh band in the Village Hall.

Doors 5pm for food, Bar from 6.30pm, 7pm the dancing starts.

The lovely Lisa from Highland tartan Tatties will be serving food from 5pm and the hall will be open for seating, so come along and enjoy a tasty meal before the music starts.

Dust off your dancing shoes and your best kilts & tartan frocks!!

Lochcarron Heritage Society is happy to present Travelling Around Wester Ross, a timelines tale of travel and transport in Wester Ross.

Liz Howard will share memories and images of travel around this wonderful area.
Starting at 2pm on Tues 29th September at The Lochcarron Centre.

Come along and join in as Lochcarron Sailing Club takes part in the Tartan Week activities with our first “Boat and BBQ” event...
Sunday 4th October - A celebration of community activity on the water.

Everyone welcome to a BBQ and to try out a water based activity - in one of our sailing boats, or bring your own water craft (paddle board, kayak, skiff, wing foil or other)

No experience needed - come and have a go! Bring a wetsuit if you have one, otherwise a change of clothes, towel and shoes you don't mind getting wet.

Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult.

Gairloch Museum helps the Royal Scottish Academy celebrate 200 years by hosting this exciting collaboration with invited artists.
