Village Hall

Market day is this Wednesday, 30th July from 10am to 2pm. Lots of fabulous local artists and crafters to enjoy, plus teas and coffees served.

The Treehouse at The Smithy Hub

The Smithy Hub is a thriving community owned site, home to 5 local businesses, a community poly-tunnel and garden, the treehouse, information boards, a wooded walk and willow dome. It is a great place for visitors to start exploring the area from, and for locals and visitors to socialise, shop, do crafts and participate in a wide range of courses, events and classes.

Lochcarron Highland Games

After a fabulous event in July this year, the next Games are on Saturday 18th July 2026, The Lochcarron Highland Games take place at Attadale (IV54 8YX) from 10am to 5pm. A full day of sport and entertainment for all the family. visit www.lochcarrongames.org.uk for more info!!

Tartan Week 2025

Tartan Week returns to the Lochcarron area at the end of September 2025 - a fantastic week of cultural events, activities and entertainment is planned

Kids comic drawing workshop. at the Smithy, with Vik Stonebridge. ages 6 to 16. Monday 29th 3.30 to 4.30. £5 each. book via pottery@balnacra.com

Papermaking workshop, at the Smithy Pottery studio,with Vik Stonebridge. Tuesday afternoon 1.30 to 3pm, Tuesday 30th September. Adults. £8 each. book via pottery@balnacra.com

Drop in session Saturday 27th,  1 – 3.30 Saturday afternoon. Balnacra Pottery with Vik Stonebridge. Free to take part. pots to get finished and collected at £9 each.  book via pottery@balnacra.com

The Lochcarron Garage also has a well equipped store, open Mon to Fri 7am to 7pm and Saturda 9am to 6pm - closed on Sundays

Lochcarron Garage is open throughout the week for fuel, servicing, and repairs.
Monday to Friday: 7am to 7pm
Saturday: 9am to 6pm

Closed on Sundays. 

The self service petrol and Diesel pumps at the Lochcarron Spar Shop are open 24-hour

Lochcarron Weavers

Visit the to explore beautiful tartans, knitwear, and gifts.
Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Saturday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Village Services

TLC

The Lochcarron Centre (TLC) charity is based in The Howard Doris Centre. We provide a welcoming safe and warm multi-purpose venue offering a focus for the community with a range of services and facilities.

There are varied options for services in the local area inluding the Church of Scotland, Free Church of Scotland and Episcopal chapel - please follow the link for more information

Library

Lochcarron Library is a small but vibrant library based in the Howard Doris Centre which serves the people of Lochcarron and the surrounding communities of Kishorn, Strathcarron and Applecross.
