A’ CHASG - THE CASK


From palace to barn, The Cask is a far flung tale that straddles three centuries and travels from Edinburgh’s brewing industry of the late 1800s to illicit whisky distilling in the wilds of the North West Highlands. Now, after decades in hiding it is ready to pour out its past in this exhibition - a blend of story writing, photographs and the cask itself. Come along and find out about the cooper’s craft; a scandalous court trial; characters and ‘craic’ from bygone days and who was the mystery woman behind the camera?…
