Hartfield House

Hartfield House Hostel is a Visit Scotland 4-star accommodation nestled in the scenic Applecross peninsula, Scotland. The complex offers a variety of lodging options, including ensuite doubles, family rooms, singles, twins, triples, and dormitory-style rooms, collectively accommodating up to 50 guests.

Hartfield House complex is set back from main North Coast 500 road, nestled amongst the mountainous landscape, shady trees, and babbling river. It comprises a Visit Scotland 4 Star hostel (sleeping 31 people), The Bunkhouse (sleeping 19), a venue for weddings and events, and a base for group activities such as yoga and artist’s retreats, walking and climbing clubs.

A large building set in its own grounds, Hartfield sleeps 50 people in a mix of ensuite doubles, family, singles, twins, triple, and a dorm room. There are hot showers, restful common areas, a shop, kitchen/dining hall, drying room, laundry, covered area for bikes, kit store, free WiFi, large garden, and venue for weddings and events. The complex can be booked exclusively or on an individual basis.

The Applecross (‘a Chomraich’ in Gaelic, which means 'sanctuary') peninsula boasts a breathtakingly beautiful and dramatic landscape. The main township of Shore Street is nearby, located around the picturesque bay and enjoys uninterrupted views over the island of Raasay and the Cuillin Hills of Skye.

Hartfield House is approximately 3/4 mile from the bay, and reached via one of the highest routes in the UK, the Bealach na Ba; from the top, on a good day, you can see the islands of the Outer Hebrides.
