Couldoran House

Couldoran House is a beautiful home, now used exclusively for holidays for the owners and visitors. It was built in 1927 and retains many of the original features, including wonderful pine doors and stairs.

The house is on a 6,000 acre estate in the Highlands of Scotland. It is surrounded by some of the most spectacular mountains. The estate is yours to explore and the rivers and lochs are yours to fish. It is an absolutely ideal place to base yourself for a holiday to explore the region. You can visit all sorts of places within a day: the Isle of Skye is only 45 minutes away; the road to the spectacular Applecross peninsular starts only 5 minutes away; Attadale gardens, Eilan Donan Castle, Loch Ness, Torridon, Kinlochewe, Fort William and the beaches at Red Point and Sand are all within an easy drive. The NorthCoast 500 route is only a few minutes drive.

The house is perfect for family groups with children; for walking parties; for cyclists and for artists. There are 10 comfortable bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, 2 large sitting rooms with wood-burning fires; a smart dining room which sits 16; a useful modernized kitchen/breakfast room; a boot room, laundry and even a small sauna!  A modern heating and hot water system has been installed to ensure that our guests are kept cosy even in Scottish winters!

Couldoran Estate is easy to reach, being approximately 90 minutes from Inverness where there are main line trains and an airport. You will have exclusive use of the house, although the housekeeper and her family live on the estate if you want any help or advice. They are full of ideas of where to visit and any events on at the local pubs or villages.

Although the house is self-catering, we may be able to help arrange for a cook for all or part of your stay. It may also be possible to arrange for walking guides and fishing tuition.
