Balnacra Arts, Pop Up Pottery
The Former Blacksmiths building and Heritage Centre at the Community run Smithy Hub, has been transformed into a ‘Pop Up Pottery’. This is the latest Pottery studio of Lochcarron Artist Vicky Stonebridge who has returned to Pottery tutoring after retiring from the Lochcarron Fire Station.

The 19th Century Smithy building at the Community run Smithy Hub, is home to the ‘Pop Up Pottery’. This is run by Lochcarron Artist Vicky Stonebridge. The Pop Up Pottery offers the opportunity to throw a Pot on the wheel or to book longer clay sessions for groups and family activities, all ages and abilities are catered for. After drying & firing the pots gets glazed and posted to their makers. There are also regular weekly pottery classes, workshops and events throughout the year.
The studio serves as a retail outlet for Vicky’s own decorative range of earthenware and raku pottery, as well as her cards, prints and paintings. The Pop Up Pottery is Open throughout the year most days. If making a special visit book ahead as opening hours may vary in the quieter months.
