Local
Fishing and Walking Guides
Lochcarron &
District Business Association
(LaDBA) has
produced 2 guide booklets providing information for visitors
about fishing and walking in the area around Lochcarron.
Each booklet is a quality publication printed in colour.
The
Lochcarron Fishing guide is an attractive booklet of 27
pages and contains a wealth of information about loch and
river fishing including location maps and map
references. Details of 11 locations are provided, each
of which is tastefully illustrated by local artist,
Michael Stuart Green. Seen through the eyes of a
painter, selected lochs and rivers are revealed not only
as places where an angler's skills may be tested, but
also as wild and beautiful places in their own right.
This booklet will delight all lovers of the wild. The
guide is priced at £3.50 plus postage & packing.
See below for order
information.
The
Guide to Local Walks and Visitor Amenities is also an
attractive and useful booklet for those intending to
visit Lochcarron and the area and wishing to do some
advance research on local walks, etc. The booklet which
comprises 22 pages is written
by Martin Moran, an experienced local walker and
climber, and contains details of 22 individual walks.
All the walks are graded from easy strolls through to
longer and more ambitious routes and the information
provided includes illustrated maps, distances, height
climbed, etc. Some of the walks start from within
Lochcarron village whilst others are almost all within
easy reach by means of a short car, bus, or taxi
