WESTER ROSS BRAND
During the next six months, the
logo to the right will appear on a selection of Wester Ross-based
websites and printed material as part of an exercise to raise public
awareness of the Wester Ross brand, for a proposed launch date of
early January 2009.
A joint proposal from several
local tourism and business groups, this is aimed at developing an
easily recognisable image associated with the Wester Ross region at
home and abroad.
Why should we need this?
- Visitors
often ask why they have never heard of Wester Ross before – it
is not a clearly defined area.
- We do
not have an “identity” as such. We must create this or risk
being submerged by other areas.

Nowadays, our market is global – not local. It is
a very small area in an extremely large world, and we must do
our utmost to promote and sell to this market.
- The
brand will link into the scenic and environmental qualities of
Wester Ross that form the main appeal for visitors to this area.
